Initial Consultation:

Your orthodontic journey starts with a detailed consultation at our office. During this appointment, we’ll assess your dental health, discuss your orthodontic needs, and determine which type of braces are best suited for you. We'll also take X-rays and impressions of your teeth to help create your personalized treatment plan.

Choosing Your Braces

Based on your needs and preferences, you’ll choose from several types of braces, including traditional metal, ceramic (tooth-colored), or clear aligners. Each type has its advantages, and we'll help guide you to the best choice for your lifestyle and dental goals.

Application of Braces

Once you’ve chosen your braces, we'll schedule an appointment to apply them. This involves cleaning and drying your teeth, applying an adhesive, and then placing the brackets. If you choose traditional braces, the wires will be threaded through the brackets.

Regular Adjustments

As your teeth gradually move into their correct positions, you’ll visit us for regular adjustments. During these visits, we can change the bands, adjust the wires, or replace the aligners. These adjustments are necessary to ensure your teeth move correctly and comfortably.

Living with Braces

Adjusting to life with braces can take a little time. You’ll learn how to clean around your braces and may need to make some dietary adjustments to avoid damaging them. We’ll give you all the tips and tools you need for taking care of your braces and maintaining good oral hygiene.

Removal and Retainers

Once your teeth have reached their ideal positions, we’ll remove your braces. This is an exciting day! To maintain your new smile, you’ll likely need to wear retainers to keep your teeth in place. We'll discuss the best retainer options for you and how often to wear them.
